The
Gage offers a variety of unique rooms in the Historic Hotel, the adjacent Los Portales or
the nearby Wilson House. Each of its rooms is finely appointed with artifacts and
authentic furnishings from the Mexican, Indian and Cowboy cultures of the Big Bend region
of Texas. In addition, the romantic and secluded heated pool and relaxing ramada is
located between the Historic Hotel and Los Portales. |

Historic Hotel |
Built in 1920, the Historic Hotel was fully renovated in
1978 to capture the rich heritage of the cattle industry that was the lifeblood of the
surrounding region at the turn of the century. In the Historic Hotel, guests may choose
from one of two types of rooms: shared bath or private bath. Each room with a shared bath
has its own sink and terrycloth robes are provided. |

Los Portales* |
 Adjacent to the Historic
Hotel, each room in Los Portales (meaning "The Porches" in Spanish) opens to a
lush fountain courtyard filled with flowers. Several rooms offer an enticing wood burning
fireplace for the cooler months, and each is unique in its atmosphere and feeling. The
owner's suite features a quaint sitting area, a bar, as well as a wood burning fireplace.
