Baker St. Harbour Bed & Breakfast on the Lake
Granbury,
TX
History
Our home was built in 1892, and owned by the Postmaster, S. B. Lancaster, in 1894. It was built on the banks of the Brazos River, where many settlers & pioneers gathered, just a few feet from our home. In the early years, many horses and sheep roamed the land. Lake Granbury was established beginning in 1968, when the Brazos River was dammed up at DeCordova Bend. The downtown square restoration began in the early 70's and can be attributed to movements by Mary Lou Watkins, Jeannie Macon, & other prominent Granbury residents who had a vision for our "heaven in the country"
